On November 14, 2014, Run This Way founder Toccara Scott held “The Education of Style” fashion show at Big Shots in Iselin, NJ. The overall theme was showcasing fall and winter fashions from designers that have a positive message behind their brand and want to inspire people. Here are some of the designers involved:
BCIC (Because I Can Create It) Exotics. The designer, Matrixx, is revolutionary and original (and her designs have recently graced the pages of Vicissitude).
Mrs. Tina Hamlet, designer of House of Fashionz, makes a statement and leads the crowd with her fashion forward designs.
Getlostalot stands for finding yourself, because you will never be happy following someone else. The designer of this brand is Vinnie Santorella.
Of course, to display the wonderful fashion required equally wonderful models. Christine Cirillo, an experienced model, host, make-up artist, and actor led the pack and absolutely shined in everything she wore. Up-and-coming model Mackenzie Denise provided a show-stealing performance. The other female models who lit up the catwalk were Nicollette Catalano, Victoria Vo, Michaela Freer, Angelica Garcia, and Genna Basalatan. The male models, including Thomas Stahl, Desmond Massey, Michael Kenner, and Sinjed Deina, also brought their A-game to the runway. There was also a musical performer during intermission, Jay Carerra.
The production team included Eric Lewis (ELEWTV) hosting the event, DJ ReemMoves providing music entertainment, photographer Rodney Laing of Self Designs Fotoz, and videographer Adrian Toscano of SBD Visions.
Also involved in the production of the show is “Team Run” consisting of Tyra Humphrey, Emily Nugent, Iztel Vasquez, and Arianna Rodriguez.
Run This Way plans on holding a Spring/Summer fashion show in 2015 so stay tuned!
