Parents, Hide Your Kids! Miley Cyrus is the Subject Of A College Course
Skidmore College, a private liberal arts school in upstate New York will be offering a course this fall on all things Miley. We had to ask: will twerking be apart of the curriculum? Not exactly. The class is called, “The Sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender and Media.” OK, so it actually sounds like students will be learning something, but perhaps if they know how to twerk too, it could count for some extra credit?
Skidmore’s upcoming course follows the likes of a Beyoncé-centered course at Rutgers University, a Jay Z study at Georgetown, and a sociology course about Lady Gaga at the University of South Carolina.
Let’s just hope a class about the Kardashians won’t be next on the list.
Mariah Carey’s New Album Drops May 6thFeaturing Some Very Special Guests
We can’t believe it’s been more than four years since Mariah Carey has dropped an album. Although she’s still not revealing the name of it, the songstress did drop a little hint at what’s to come, recently telling Billboard that there’s “a lot more raw ballads than people might expect.”
Even though she’s collaborated with some of music’s biggest names, such as Whitney Houston and Boyz II Men, there are two very special people who are going to be making their music debut this time around: her 2 ½ year-old twins, Morrocan and Monroe!
Carey isn’t the first pop star to feature her kids on a record. Back in December, Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy appeared with her famous mom on the song appropriately titled, “Blue.” Ahh, celebrities and their kids. They’re just like us… or not. Yep, definitely not.
Get Ready To Feel Old Because The 90s Are Totally Back
If someone told you back in the 90s that Doc Martins and mom jeans would still totally be cool in 2014, you’d probably say, as if!
What if someone told you that the New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, and Hanson would be together, and Justin Timberlake would be the new king of pop? That’s da bomb!
Bet you’d never guess Boy Meets World would be back on the air, and who would have thought Joey Lawrence and Melissa Joan Hart would be starring on a TV show together that’s basically a remake of Who’s The Boss? Umm, whoa!
Diddy is Puff Daddy again, the Ninja Turtles are coming soon to a theater near you, and the cast of Full House reunites like, every single day. There’s no denying it; the 90s are back and we are feeling totally awesome — and way old.
The New Kids On The Block are celebrating their 30th anniversary (!) and have four upcoming concert dates at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas from July 10 through July 13. But they’re not the only ones with the right stuff. The Backstreet Boys, O-Town and Hanson are all back together again and going on tour.
